Our story
On why we opened a hotel in the middle of Gangnam, between two forests.
01 · Two forests
Come up from Seolleung Station and the glass towers come first. A few steps on, the pines. Seolleung's forest has been kept for more than five hundred years, since King Seongjong of Joseon was laid to rest here in 1495. VACATIO Samseong is a three-minute walk away.
02 · A forest of romance
If we had to name what this team runs on, it would be romance — in our dictionary, something you never had to do, that turns out to be worth doing. In 2022, wanting to know what a day of running a stay is really like, the whole team moved to Jeju. We still run the Han River together every week. The things we did on purpose are what brought us here.
03 · Hotel
VACATIO builds software, kiosks, smart rooms and robot operations for hospitality. To know whether any of it is truly useful, we had to become operators first — so we opened a hotel in Samseong-dong. From the check-in kiosk to the robot at your door, everything in this building is something we build and run ourselves.
